I would like to expand on my definition of the child's development. I see the child's personality developing in a three-phase model, which is the same one that I use when working with the adult. I see these phases as consisting of three developmental periods:
0-3 years: The infant is not yet differentiated into distinct personality types, but is still a little bit of everything. During this phase, the infant is more "in-touch" with the world and has an intuitive, non-verbal way of understanding the world.
