Yamamoto personality type is INFJ, which is their tertiary function. The reasoning behind this is that the INFJ personality type is a “guardian” of sorts and is often described with characteristics of the “care taker” in the community. I personally think this is a bit strange, because I see the INFJ as the “Champion”, not the “Care Taker”. Obviously, INFJs are going to be good at taking care of their loved ones, but I feel like there’s more to it than that. I think the INFJ personality type is a character that wants to do more than simply take care of their loved ones—they want to be the ones who take care of others. Sometimes that means they take care of themselves, but it’s not always about taking care of themselves.

INFJs need to feel like they’re making an impact on their loved ones and beyond. They aren’t just here to support and care for them, they want to make sure they look out for others too.
