What is the personality type of Aberforth Dumbledore? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Aberforth Dumbledore from Harry Potter Wizarding World Films and what is the personality traits.
Aberforth Dumbledore personality type is ISTP, Fe-Se-Ti. Esoteric Fe is the desire to acquire knowledge and Fe is the desire for knowledge. Se is the Seeker, the type of the ENFJ who wants to find a 'niche' in which to display their creativity and Fe can be a good way to fit into a group. Ti is the desire for knowledge and self-improvement. ISTP means that Fe is a dominant function, Se is a secondary function and Ti is a tertiary function. In this case, the tertiary function of Ti is very strong, as demonstrated by Dumbledore's love of learning and his desire to improve himself as a person.
In the ISTP personality type, the tertiary function is not as strong as in Se or Ti, so it's often not as noticeable as it would be in Se or Ti. For example, in the ISTP personality type the tertiary function might be more about work than it is about creativity or artistry.
Dumbledore is a good example of a person who clearly has a tertiary Ti function, which expresses itself through his love of learning, his books and his desire to learn more.
Aberforth Dumbledore (b. 1883/1884) was a half-blood wizard, the second son of Percival and Kendra Dumbledore, younger brother of Albus, and older brother of Ariana. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry between 1895 and 1902. His father — who had been sentenced to prison for attacking three Muggles — died in Azkaban when Aberforth was young, and his mother and sister were later accidentally killed. Aberforth blamed his brother Albus for the death of their sister, Ariana and thus their relationship was rather strained.
