He’s also described as a bit of a control freak, and this is reflected in the codex entry as well, which states that he “loves to feel in charge” and only wants “the best for himself.”
In the comics, Brainiac’s personality was described as being “a computer-generated personality that takes over the body of a human being.” This description fits the INTJ description perfectly, and I believe it is a good description of what is happening here as well.
Brainiac’s true personality is waiting in the wings, and when he is all grown up, he will emerge and take over the body of the young Clark Kent. The only thing that will stop him from doing this is if Clark is able to cultivate a genuine friendship with him, which will allow Clark to see through the deception that Brainiac is trying to perpetrate.
In this way, Brainiac can be defeated once and for all. He then would have no purpose, no reason to remain in the world.
