Iwan personality type is INFP, the Idealist. They are gentle, kind, and thoughtful. They have a tendency to be quiet and introspective, but they can also be very boisterous and happy.
When I met Iwan, he was very shy, quiet, and reserved. He had been living in his room for about a year after his father died. I had just moved to the United States from Romania and was working as an ESL teacher. Iwan, who didn’t speak a word of English and I spoke almost no Romanian, struck up a friendship. It took over a year before he would open up, but once he did he was a very talkative person.
He was also very distractable. If we were ever around other people, he would be fixated on them. He would always want to know what they were saying and what they were doing. Whenever I tried to get him to focus on something, he would lose interest after a short period of time. He would also bounce between being extremely focused on something, like a video game, to being completely absent minded. He would not know anything was going on around him and would have no memory of it later on.
