Carla Hall (born February 23, 1974) is an American singer and actress. By the age of 17, Hall had adopted the stage name Coco and began singing in clubs and bars in Detroit. In 1995 she released her debut album, Coco, through Epic Records. The album debuted at number 35 on the Billboard 200 chart and at number 12 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
In 1998, Hall signed with Atlantic Records and released her second album, All I Need Is a Miracle, which spawned three singles: "I'm So Hood", "How Many Mics" and "Hey There Daddy". The album peaked at number 67 on the Billboard 200 chart and at number 16 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Following the release of her third album, Chronicles, Hall released a compilation album titled The Best of Coco, which peaked at number 38 on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2003, she released her fourth album Coco II: Live from the Fox Theatre. In 2004, Hall signed with Geffen Records.
