Finn Ames personality type is INFP, and the way we try to deal with it is we keep our feelings to ourselves and we don’t actually confront it and we don’t admit to it. We don’t want to feel like we’re in danger, and we don’t want to feel like we’re weak, and we don’t want to feel like we’re flawed. And that is why we’re usually not very warm about people, and that is why we tend to be very critical of people.
And so if we’re in a situation where we’re in a lot of pain and I can sense that someone else is in a state of pain too, and I feel like I can reach out and help them, and I want to reach out and help them but I can’t because I don’t really know how to handle these thoughts and these feelings, then I just kind of tend to ignore them and pretend they don’t exist.
And then over time, that becomes a habit, and that becomes who we are. And then I think that that sometimes can lead to some issues in our relationships.
