He's a great guy, but he has lots of hang-ups about himself and lots of baggage from his past. I do my best to make him feel safe, but the truth is he needs a lot of work. He says he's a great guy, but I don't think he realizes how hard he's working to prove that to everyone else.
I think that because we both have ISTJ personalities that we've been able to help each other grow and become better people. We often have the same "why", so when we discuss things we always come up with the same conclusions. We have similar tastes in books and movies and music. We have similar values and morals. We have similar worldviews.
