Howard Beale personality type is ENTP, something I've never considered before. I don't think it's too far off, though. The ENTPs I know all do very similar things: make connections and observations, make logical leaps based on those connections and observations, and often their ideas will be highly original and insightful.
From the section on the ENTP:
"They, like their friends INFJ and ENFP, can be defined by their ability to connect and extrapolate beyond the here and now to possibilities and futures that would be impossible for most people. They can see the big picture and how it fits together, but they also see the details and the nuance between them."
so, I dunno? I'm not sure if this all fits together. But it sounds like something I would say. It might be a bit too big of a leap, though.
