In the movie, Steve’s mother is very controlling. In real life, Steve’s mother was more like a doting mom. I don’t think she was controlling at all. She was just very sweet and loving and nurturing, and she had a very beautiful relationship with Steve. My parents were very supportive of me and my sisters and my younger brother, and we got along very well.
