Benjy Fleming is a well known and well loved children's author and illustrator. The name Benjy was given to him by his dad, he was always called Ben and he was born on the 7th of February 1987. He grew up in the country and as a child he would take his toys and his friends to visit the local farms and visit the animals. He attended school in the country and during his childhood years he would walk to school and he would play with all the other kids in the area. His approach to life is very child like and laid back and as a child he was very creative as he loved to play with his friends and as well as writing and drawing, he also loved to write stories about his life and the lives of those he knew.
Throughout his childhood he was inspired by his family and also by the local farms and the animals that lived there. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He lives in Australia with his wife Bethany. They have two children who they love very much, Jameson who is 12 years old and Lily who is 8 years old.
