In the book, Petra gets into a fight with her mother over her choice of boyfriend. In the film, Petra also has a dorky boyfriend, who is an ENTP named Ethan. The film would have been better if they had made him a different type – ISTP – instead of the ESTP he was.
In both instances, it would have been better if the relationship between Petra and her mother had been more realistic.
