Sidra personality type is ESTP, and this is the first time I have ever seen it.
The other possibility is that a large majority of them are simply mislabeled, and the fact that they have a regular pattern to their data suggests that they are not as random as the mislabeling would suggest.
What does this mean for our understanding of personality type?
It means that the strength of the relationship between two variables is less important than what that relationship looks like, and we should be careful about making sweeping generalizations from large sets of personality data.
The connection between personality type and the Big Five personality traits is an example of this. We know that in a very large sample of people, there is a strong correlation between personality type and Big Five traits. But the strength of that correlation varies across individuals, and for some people, there is quite a large overlap between their Big Five scores and their personality type scores.
This means that a very strong correlation between personality type and Big Five scores in one person does not necessarily mean that they have a very strong relationship with the Big Five in all other people. We can call this the “weakness” of the relationship between personality type and the Big Five.
