Syd personality type is ESFP, and for my most recent research, I’m focusing on typology and personality traits. I’m also in the process of making a series of videos featuring my personal experiences with the various types and my analysis of the results.
I’ve been asked to do this before, and I’ve always declined, so it’s not because I’m avoiding the topic. My personal belief is that when we start to think in terms of types, we’re often reduced too much to our type. We start to think that we represent only our type and everything else in the world is there to help us in some way.
When we recognize that we’re operating within a broad framework of human types, we can begin to see that we’re all part of a much larger whole and that our own human strengths are not limited to our type. We can get to know ourselves better without placing too much emphasis on our own type.
I’m hoping to do this in a way that makes sense to the average E-suse, who may not have prior knowledge of type theory.
