Jane Turnkey personality type is ENFJ, so the only thing I can say is that it has been a long time since I've read the books and I don't remember the characters like this. I must have skipped them, but I don't remember that either.
The story is about a girl who, in her words, "is a disappointment to her family. She doesn't know how to get along with people and she's terrified of being alone."
She's told her parents that her boyfriend has betrayed her and that she's leaving to go live in a small town. She goes into the bathroom and disappears.
At the beginning of the book the narrator tells the story from her own perspective. It's told in the present tense, so it's very easy to tell what's going on.
The narrator (who, by the way, calls herself T) is picked up by a stranger. "Her voice seemed familiar, like she'd heard it somewhere before. It was deep, a little husky and kind of sexy." The narrator is surprised that she's gotten picked up by a stranger, but then she thinks that maybe she knows her because of her body language and her voice.
