Kuroyuri is a little red and yellow humanoid cat with a blue tail, a white face, four whiskers, and two antennae. His shell is mostly red, with three white stripes; his ears are blue with a brown outer ear and a white inner ear. He has no legs, but he can float in air. Kuroyuri also has two big eyes with one white eye, and one small eye. He is voiced by Tetsu Inada in the Japanese version and by Tom Wayland in the English version.

In the English dub of Dokidoki! Precure, Kuroyuri's background story is expanded to show that he was once a normal cat living in Utona City, until his owner's dog, who was jealous of his good luck and bright personality, threw him into a river and drowned him. The dog's owner then threw the cat's body into the river, as well. However, Kuroyuri's soul was imbued with the power of Precure magic, and he was reincarnated as a cat-like Precure hybrid.
