Burgh personality type is ENFP, the "theorist who can be a bit of a dreamer." I imagine this is the same as the ENFP-INFP in my book. Despite his lack of practical creativity, he can be extremely imaginative and, in theory, stretch out the possibilities of the possibilities.
I think this is the reason he is so fascinated with theoretical physics and with exploring the possibilities of time travel. He is fascinated by the idea that we might "alter the past," and similarly with the idea of changing the future. He is fascinated by the idea that we can travel in time and explore the past before we were born.
The way his mind works seems to be that there is a time when we were created and then there is a time when we do not exist. He does not seem to be able to think about time in terms of simultaneous existence. I suppose this is because he lacks a sense of continuity. He does not seem to have any concept of how things change over time.
His most distinguishing characteristic is his theoretical and speculative nature. This might be a side effect of his ENFP-INFP nature, but it seems to come out in most areas of his life.
