In my personal experience, I have been told my “loud” personality by two different counselors, and also by my coworkers in college. In reality, my personal experience with ETS is that I have a very quiet, reserved, and shy personality. I can be quiet in a loud room, but in a quiet room I am painfully quiet. This is a hard thing for me to understand in a world where everyone is in their own little world and everyone is in a rush to get somewhere.

In my personal experience, when I was younger, my quietness was attributed to my shyness. However, in my current job, I have been asked to be more vocal and more extroverted in the workplace. In the past, I never had any problems with talking about myself and sharing ideas and information with others. However, when it came to working on projects and sharing ideas with others I seemed to have stopped speaking up and stopped sharing my thoughts and ideas with others.
