Roger Alpheus personality type is ISTJ, but I would be interested in other approaches, as well.
Here’s the thing. I’m not sure there are any personality types that are completely “good” or “bad.” And I think that it’s important to keep in mind that the type descriptions are more an indicator of tendencies than absolute qualities.
For example, I think that being introverted by nature doesn’t mean I will automatically be a loner, or a hermit, or a recluse. Being introverted by nature doesn’t mean I will never want to socialize in groups, or that I will be a great friend. There are very extroverted introverts, and very quiet introverts, just like there are introverted extroverts and quiet extroverts.
But I do believe that certain personality types are better suited for certain careers, relationships, hobbies, lifestyles, etc. This can be influenced by the environment and by life experience, but it is also true that some personality types will fit into more situations than others.
The ISTJ is a good example of this.
