Seiji Shingen personality type is ISFJ, which judging from the way he behaved around his friends and the nature of his interactions with them, he fits this personality type well. I would say he’s more of an “ISFJ-ish” type, if there is such a thing.
I don’t think Seiji Shingen would have been a very good leader, at least not in the modern sense of the word. He was a really good fighter, but that was all he was good at. He wasn’t a very smart person, nor did he have any particular skills that we would call leadership. A good leader today would have to be able to think and act well both strategically and tactically. Seiji Shingen wasn’t a particularly good strategist and his command decisions were more often than not improvised. He wasn’t a good tactician either, not in the modern sense at least. He didn’t understand tactics because he didn’t know how to do them.
A good leader today would also be able to inspire his troops and bring out their best qualities.
