Eylem personality type is ISTP, and the service and service-oriented personality type is ESTP.
I’m not sure how I feel about this. I think ISTPs and ESTPs are really under-represented in the workplace, and I also think it’s a bit of a cop out to say that people with a “service” personality are naturally inclined to be service oriented. I realize that there are a lot of people with ISTP or ESTP personalities who don’t see themselves as service-oriented, and you certainly wouldn’t want to call them “bad service people” – it’s a bit of a loaded term – but I think sometimes it’s a little bit of a cop out to say that “service-oriented” is a personality type that naturally comes from introversion. I’m going to keep an open mind going forward as I continue reading the book, but I’ve got a feeling this is going to be a bit of a turn off for me.
