Asher personality type is ENTP, and I am a talker. My wife is a wonderful listener and understands me and my ways. I was not aware of this until we became parents. Now, she is my best friend and I can talk to her about any topic, even the heavy stuff. However, when I am home alone, I am no longer able to talk to her about anything. I am still able to talk to her, but she is not able to listen to what I have to say. How do I get around this?
A: Your wife is right: you can talk to her and she will listen and even relate and empathize with you. The problem is that you cannot talk to her about the topics that you want to discuss, so you either come up with other topics or you try to find out what is wrong with you so you can fix it. For example, what she likes or dislikes about your personality or your home life.
Q: My partner and I both feel the need for space at times. We obviously know that it is a bad sign, but we would both like to know what we can do to help each other cope.
