From the age of 3 years old she was the only child in a household of over 20 children. She was a victim of a terrible incestuous abuse by her brother. She also had a very difficult relationship with her father who was abusive and controlling.
She married at a very early age and had a family of her own. She was able to raise her family in a healthy way, but after the death of her husband, she fell into a deep depression. She didn’t seek therapy, but her son did. As Mrs. Mills began to work through her depression, she realized she needed to do something about her life.
