Dominique Pestre (born in 1950) is a French science historian. He is director of studies at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS).
A former professor of physical sciences, Dominique Pestre directed the Centre de recherche en histoire des sciences et des techniques de La Villette and then the Centre Alexandre Koyré (CNRS-EHESS) [1].
