Morris was my hero, and he was also a murderer. It's a strange kind of legacy.

He was also the man who wrote the "Star-Spangled Banner" song, with words that were changed by Francis Scott Key after he heard about the death of Christopher Columbus in order to mock the South!
And yet, Morris is still honoured as a great figure in American history.
It's strange.
And I think that it's also in part because of his murderous side.
But I have also been inspired by the way he was willing to fight for something that he believed in, even when it was a very difficult thing to do… and even if he knew that there would be personal consequences for doing it.
