Because he’s a “Gray Man”, he can take on multiple identities while being a spy without being discovered. But what happens when a Gray Man takes on a human identity and becomes a public figure?
The problem with being a public figure is that you have to answer to people. No matter what you do, there will be someone who’s going to get upset about it. The key to making it through this is to anticipate the complaints before they go public. That’s what I hope to do in this chapter by taking a look at the term “fanboy” and using it as a metaphor for how government works.
