I was told recently that I am INFJ, an INFJ that is, and I have to say that this is one of the best compliments anyone has ever paid me. I have had my share of conflicts with my parents, which have led me to feel that I do not belong in the world (or at least the family), but my father and mother always supported me. When I was in college, they told me they were proud of me and they encouraged me to pursue my dreams.
There is a certain amount of truth in the INFJ type description, but there is also some exaggeration, because it is something that cannot be completely isolated from the rest of the personality. This is because, although we are introverts, we are not necessarily as reserved as the description indicates. On the contrary, we can be very warm and active when we want to.
