Koto (レディ古都) personality type is ESFP, and her hobbies are playing games and communicating with friends, and she is somewhat of a bookworm. She is the daughter of the late Kotori and the late Tsugumi, and she has a loving relationship with both of them. She became a member of Morning Musume in 2009.
In 2007, Koto participated in the Hello! Project Audition. She passed it and was accepted into the group. In Morning Musume, Koto is a background vocalist and a member of the sub-group Zwei. In Zwei, she performs vocals for Ai-chan's songs, but also takes part in the choreography.
She has been a member of Morning Musume all since she was 15 years old. On 3rd May 2009, it was announced that she passed her 10th generation auditions and became a member of Morning Musume 20th single, the first member to have done so. Koto is also the first member to have been a part of Morning Musume from auditions from all 10 generations including the new generation auditions.
In 2012, Koto married fellow Morning Musume member Ayumi Ishida.
