Vince Cook was born on June 8, 1958, in El Monte, California. He is the son of a police officer, and was raised with strict discipline by his mother and stepfather, both of whom were police officers.
Vince Cook and his older brother grew up in an area that was heavily gang and drug-ridden. This led to him being constantly exposed to violence, and he began to exhibit many of the characteristics of an ISTP.
Cook’s parents were both officers in the local police department, at which point they began to have a lot of problems with their younger son. His brother was often getting into trouble, and Cook often got into it as well. Cook’s parents began to treat him like a second-class citizen, the way that the police treat criminals. So he began to resent them.
After his brother left home, Cook became aware of the effects that drugs had had on him.
