Sandbag personality type is INFP, which is one of my favorite personality types.
I’m not a fan of the word “pessimistic,” but it’s a pretty accurate description. I’m a very negative person. I see the world in a dark, black, and gray perspective. I see life as a struggle to get through. It’s a struggle to get through this particular day, this particular week, this particular year, and these struggles just get harder and harder.
I have a hard time being positive or being optimistic. I have a hard time trying to see the silver lining in anything.
My favorite quote from a famous pessimist is “It’s so easy to get behind a wall of pessimism, but very hard to get over it.” I’m not sure if this quote was ever said, but I love it.
I have a love/hate relationship with the word “cheerful.” I don’t like the idea of cheerfulness because it seems fake and forced. I like the term “charmingly optimistic.” You know, I’ve always thought that was cute.
