Claudia personality type is ENFJ, so I was looking for a partner with the same value system. The type of person I was looking for was more like me than him, and if I had been looking for someone like me, I would have found it easier to let his behavior go.
My husband had transferred to another office and we had to get used to each other again, and it took some time for me to accept that maybe some of the things I had questioned in him were not really about him. If I had been looking for someone like me, it would have been easier for me to make an exception for him.
As a result of my own experience of breaking up, I am very sensitive when it comes to my friends’ relationships. I feel more comfortable when they are happy and content, and when they are in a committed relationship. I think that if I were looking for someone who shared my values, I would have been so much less concerned about their relationship status. My husband is certainly not perfect, but at least he is not a workaholic, because he also has his own private life outside of the office.
