My focus is on the people around me, in a positive way. Most ENFPs are in touch with their emotions, and they know how to express themselves. I'm just a better communicator than others!
But when I was in the work force I had to be more of a hard-nosed person. I felt that my personal life should be separate from my professional life, and that was difficult for me.
My mom often said that I was "too much" for her. She said that I was too self-centered and too emotional — and that was true — even at the age of 12.
My mom and dad divorced when I was 14 and I had to figure things out for myself. That's when I started trying to be more like my dad.
I worked hard to get into college, and then to graduate school.
I attended the University of Virginia and then went on to get a Masters degree in Psychology from University of Minnesota.
I worked as a clinical psychologist for many years, and then began writing books.
