Genma Shizume personality type is ESTP, so I made a few changes to reflect that. She has a bit of a "glass is half full" attitude. She tends to be a bit rash and impulsive, especially when she's upset.
Genma Shizume's mother was a nurse. She died in childbirth, leaving her husband alone with Genma. He was an upstanding man, but he had a lot of stress at work due to the fact that he was a doctor. He worked long hours, and was usually away from home from morning to night to see patients. His wife was usually the one to take care of the housework and raising Genma.
It didn't help that his father-in-law was a very rude and mean man, who had a habit of yelling at people and getting angry at attempts to help. He had a very foul temper, and was always drunk.
Genma had a hard time with him, and never felt happy or secure. Now that she's grown up, she's come to realize that she gets angry at people sometimes too easily. She's been known to get mad at people due to circumstances that aren't their faults at all.
