Makoto Sako personality type is ISTJ, meaning he is very much like the other ISTJ men in the series. He is very serious, responsible, and loyal to his friends. He's someone who wants things done in an efficient manner, and tries not to leave anything undone. He's not someone who is very emotional (he has even threatened someone with violence when he got angry) but he is very easily angered. He is also very logical in his decisions, and can be stubborn in his beliefs, usually when in opposition to the logical Mako Takamine.
Though Mako is more of a "fun person" than Makoto, he does have a serious side to him that emerges if the situation calls for it. When he's happy, he's happy. When he's sad, he's sad. However, he does tend to get annoyed with Makoto's more active, boisterous behavior.
Mako has a very strong sense of justice, which he will never back down from. He's able to see the good in people, even when they don't seem so. He also does not hesitate to shoot a person or a creature on sight if they are considered a threat to his friends or their safety, even if they are at a distance from him.
