“If an artist just told their life story the way it actually went, it would be a three hour movie,” says Philip. “I like to take it and make it into a short film. It’s just a lot of fun to do.”
So far he has been able to film a few different spots and get some experience doing it.
“I try to keep it as creative as possible,” Philip says. “I try to put in my own stuff. I do have a couple of people help me out with the creative side of things, but they can’t do everything. I like to leave my mark on the spot.”
The most difficult part of the whole process is trying to figure out the right time to film. With the busy schedule of an educator there is not a lot of free time for him to spend doing something involving his creativity.
“I’m constantly trying to figure out how I can fit it all in,” he says. “When I can, I usually try and do it on weekends.
