Shigeru personality type is ESFP, but it is also possible that he's an ISTJ. I also have a hard time believing he's an ENFJ because he never shows any signs of being a very emotional person, but I suppose anyone's capable of being an ENFJ.
One thing I do accept is that he's a deeply emotional person, and he does have a very laid-back personality and an attitude about him, but I don't think it's as laid-back as people think. In the manga, he reacts like someone with a very laid-back personality would, and it just seems like he's acting like that because he's a laid-back person. He doesn't let his emotions get in the way of his logic. He wants to do things right, and he refuses to let anything stand in his way.
He also shows a lot of patience when it comes to dealing with people. He doesn't get angry easily, and he always has a calm look on his face. He never yells at people and he never loses his cool. Even when he was dying, he still maintained his cool, and he asked if there was anything that could be done when his older brother was begging for help.
