Joseph personality type is ESTP, but I’m not sure I’d go so far as to call myself an ESTP. I am more of an ISTP.
I know that it’s not the most accurate trait model for describing my personality, but it doesn’t matter to me. I’ve always identified myself as ESTP. It’s just what I feel like.
I’m pretty sure that if you look up “ESTP personality type” on Wikipedia, it will say that ESTPs are leaders; that they are often relied upon by others; that they are self-reliant; that they don’t like to waste time on things that can be easily done; and that they are friendly and outgoing.
I guess this is true of me, but it’s not really all of those things.
When I was younger, I was the type of person who didn’t like to ask for directions unless I was lost, but now I like to ask for directions. I’ve always been a self-starter, but now I hate to wait around before doing anything.
