Since the show is set in NYC, it’s important to represent NYC diversity. The show has a large LGBT+ cast and many actors and actresses of color. The diversity representation is well done and I don’t know if that can be said about most shows (though we do have an amazing Black female president). The diversity doesn’t end there, as there are also Asian actors and actresses, as well as actors and actresses of other cultures.
