Story
In the Mortal Kombat Mythologies series, Liu Kang is an Earthrealm warrior who possesses a fierce and honorable warrior's spirit. He is the brother of Kung Lao, Kung Jin, Kitana and Mileena, and the son of Kung Lao and Sindel. He has the ability to transform into a Dragon when he enters this state. During the events of the first game, he is summoned to the land of Edenia to help fight Shao Kahn's forces. In the end, Shao Kahn's army is defeated and Liu Kang is sent to safety with the other Earthrealm warriors.
Liu Kang returns in Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks as one of the Shaolin monks who travels to Earthrealm searching for the Elder Gods' answers to stop Shinnok's takeover of Earthrealm. He joins with Sonya Blade and Jax Briggs against Quan Chi's forces at the Black Dragon Shrine. After defeating Quan Chi, Liu Kang is forced to face his brother Kung Lao once more, only this time in battle with his significant injuries.
