I have never worked with a dog whose owner didn’t have a big role to play.
The first time I worked with a dog, the owner was actually the dog’s grandmother. The old lady would hold the dog’s leash, pet it, tell it what to do, and so on.
I was amazed at how the dog followed the grandmother around like a puppy or baby.
However, it’s one thing being a good dog owner, and it’s another being a good dog owner to other people.
When I came to see the dog, I said to the owner, “It’s really interesting that you don’t work with this dog.” The owner replied, “Oh, that’s because I don’t like dogs.”
If an ENTP is not willing to work with his or her dog, why would they work with other people? The ENTP’s dog (or cat) is like their baby—the ENTP considers them to be part of their family.
