The site, that is, as far as I can tell, has no scientific basis behind its claim. But it is one of many sites on the Internet that claim to be able to tell people what their personality type is based on their posts or comments. Even though these sites have little to no scientific basis, the idea of having an accurate way to know one's personality type has intrigued many people.
So what's the deal with MBTI?
MBTI is not a test. It's an interdisciplinary approach to personality assessment that deals with how people perceive the world, according to its creator, Dr. Carl Jung, who died in 1961.
The basic idea behind Jung's approach is that people have different preferences for different things - and these preferences are shaped by the way their brains are wired. You can think of this approach as a way of looking at a person's "type" - how they experience the world, based on the things that they enjoy, rather than on who they are.
