An ENTP who is feeling depressed is not just feeling depressed for no reason. They're feeling depressed because they're feeling something. And it's not because they feel bad*** for no reason. They feel bad*** because they feel something.
***the key word here is 'bad'. This is not the same as saying they are unhappy (which is something different again, but more like 'sad').
So to answer your question, "Why do ENTPs get depressed?" ... I don't know. I don't think anyone can answer that question. I think it's simply that they feel things, and sometimes those feelings are bad feelings (and this is one of the reasons why ENTPs can be difficult to understand).
