Vito's entrepreneurial spirit was sparked by watching his dad, a barber, work hard to feed his family of 11 children in an apartment in Kearny, N.J., where Vito lived until he was 15 years old.
"My dad was a barber, so we lived pretty much on the streets," he says. "You'd wake up at 5 in the morning to make a few bucks to get breakfast."
Vito says he learned from his father that the biggest lesson was realizing the world is your oyster, to take advantage of every opportunity you have, no matter how big or small. Vito attributes his success to his ability to work hard and be persistent and not give up.
"I don't give up," he says. "I'm always trying to get better."
