Felix Jaeger personality type is ESTP, but I'm not sure if the other half is INTP.
I think it's much easier for ESTPs to take on the role of the leader. With that said, I think that INTPs are better leaders than ESTPs. I also think that ISTP is a better leader than ESFP (and vice versa).
I'm an INTP and I do think that I can apply leadership skills. I also know some ESTPs who do the same thing. When we see each other we often comment on how we can't believe it when we hear about some of our ESTP friends and family taking on leadership roles (something we never thought we'd see).
I don't think that you can go wrong with anyone on both sides, but I think that ESTPs do tend to be more pushy and more blunt in their delivery of what they're saying. That said, I know ESTPs who would be very good leaders (and INTPs too).
I've found that the best type for leadership roles is the one who has the insight and vision to really get things done.
