Brainfuck is an exotic programming language, invented by Urban Müller in 1993. It takes its name from the union of two words, brain and fuck, and plays on words, since this language is voluntarily simplistic, and because the expression Brain Fuck evokes, in slang, what puts the brain in a state of confusion by its apparent complexity. This unflattering vocabulary was also the reason why it was written under other more prudent spellings, such as Brainf*ck, Brainf*** or BF.
