Tim personality type is ESTP, although the MBTI manual offers two other ESTP options (Extraversion, Sensing, Thinking, Perceiving): "The ESTP is a gregarious, enthusiastic, and often impulsive individual who is always in a good mood. He tends to be bossy and demanding of others, but will bend to harmony when that is possible. He is an independent thinker, and a doer rather than a planner."
And here's what I find most interesting about the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator: the differences between introverted and extroverted types are not only divided by temperament. They are also divided by function. Like the left-brain and right-brain dichotomies, this dichotomy splits personality type into introverted and extroverted types.
Introverts are thinkers, while extroverts are doers. Introverts are deeper thinkers; they look for new ways of understanding and discovering new ideas. They are more interested in the ideas themselves than in the means of communicating them. Introverts are often thoughtful and reflect on their own thoughts. They withdraw from much of the activity around them. They do not volunteer their own opinions so much as they ask questions or make suggestions.
