Alok personality type is ISTP, but I just don't get the ISTP/INFP thing. It's not as if there's any proof that INFPs are more imaginative than ISTPs, or that it's an accurate description of their personalities. But it apparently is true that INFPs are more imaginative, and so is this fic.
The best thing about this fic is the way Alok's imagination works. He doesn't live in a fantasy world, but he is observant of it, and his imagination works in the real world – to create stories and make them more vivid, to make people around him more interesting. He's not wild and free like Jareth, but he's gentle and kind, and he has good intentions. He just lacks confidence in his own ideas, because he thinks he's not good enough to make them work. He's humble and considerate, and sweet and funny.
I love how his imagination is so powerful he can do things the way he wants to. It takes a lot of guts to say I wanted to do something differently, and then to actually do it. If you have a lot of imagination, you can take risks and try new things without being afraid of failure.
