History
Chae Ah was born in Seoul, South Korea, to a father who was a computer programmer and a mother who was an Internet salesperson. He was raised in a middle-class family, but had a difficult childhood due to the fact that he was brought up to believe that he was being ignored by his parents. This lead to him becoming a very rebellious teenager. During high school, he became quite popular, and was known as the "Drama King" with his friends. He also became famous for his acting skills in school plays.
After high school, Chae Ah went to work for a computer software company for three years. When he was twenty-one, he decided to become an actor, and after three months of acting classes, he landed his first movie role for playing the role of Yoo Seung Yi in the movie "Sunny Day".
