Personality Type and Fake News
Personality types are great for giving us a snapshot of who we are and why we do what we do. And, in some cases, they can even be a big help in decision making.
But as we now know, they can also be a real hindrance in other areas of our lives. For example, they may get in the way when it comes to our career. What we have found is that the type of fake news we are exposed to depends upon the type of personality we have.
Let’s look at that issue in more detail with an example. Do you get a lot of fake news about yourself? If so, you may be a “projectionist” personality type. A type that tends to project their own negatives on others and then turns it around and sees their own negatives in those around them.
This type of projection can be a real handicap when it comes to getting good news about yourself. It can prevent you from accepting positive feedback and it also can prevent you from accepting negative feedback on yourself.
