His tertiary need is usually expressed by his need to be needed. He wants to be needed, and he wants to feel needed. He will do anything for people who show him kindness, and he will go out of his way to help people. He is very demonstrative in his desire to help others, and he will try to help anyone who needs help. Because of this, he can be very helpful to others, but he can also feel compelled to take on too much responsibility, to the point that he will micromanage others, even if he doesn't know what he's doing. For instance, he might give someone a list of tasks to do so that they can feel needed, spending hours trying to "make it perfect" for the person, only to find out that they don't need to be controlled.
